Houben has been appointed by Murray Dow, President of The Dow Hotel Company, to the position of Director of Marketing at The Radisson Hotel in Sacramento, California. Before joining The Radisson Hotel Sacramento, Frederik held the same position at The Dow Hotel Company�s Embassy Suites at O�Hare Airport. Prior to joining DHC, he was responsible Sales & Marketing at two Hilton Hotels in the Chicago area and General Manager of a Hampton Inn. He has taught Meeting and Convention Services part time for several years in the Chicago area. He holds a four year degree in Hotel Management which he earned in Brazil. He began his hotel career with Sheraton Hotels in Brazil as an operations trainee. He will be relocating to the Sacramento area with his wife and three children.

The 307 room Radisson Sacramento recently completed a multi-million dollar transformation of all guest rooms, suites and public space. The hotel has over 40,000 square feet of meeting space and is considered Sacramento�s top group and catering hotel. The Radisson is well known for its� Summer �Concerts in the Grove� series and its award winning Sunday brunch.  The hotel was acquired in 1999 by PD Hotel Associates, a joint venture of Prudential Real Estate Investors and The Dow Hotel Company. The Dow Hotel Company manages the hotel.
