SAN FRANCISCO, January 3, 2003 - As of January 2003, Anwar Elgonemy of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels will relocate from the firm's Miami office to San Francisco, making him the first Hotels executive to be dedicated to Northern California.  Anwar will join Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels' West Coast operation, which is headed by Arthur Buser, Managing Director, out of Los Angeles.

"Anwar is well suited to drive our expansion efforts in the Northern California region, having extensive hotel investment experience in the San Francisco Bay Area." 

Since joining Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels in April 2001, Elgonemy assisted in the Club Med Huatulco and Club Med Sonora Bay transactions in Mexico. On the advisory side, he has performed valuations and strategic studies for a wide variety of product types, including convention centers, waterfront mixed-use developments, destination resorts and boutique hotels. 

Elgonemy has over nine years of experience serving lodging and commercial real estate clients. His areas of expertise include due diligence for investment banks pertaining to their underwriting of loan portfolios, development planning advice, and strategic repositioning studies. Elgonemy was previously employed by PKF Consulting in San Francisco and Laventhol & Horwath in Portugal, conducting assignments worldwide.

Elgonemy speaks five languages and holds an MBA from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management, with an emphasis in finance. Anwar also graduated from the Conrad N. Hilton College at the University of Houston and The Glion School in Switzerland.
