DALLAS, TX / North Vernon, IN � (October 8, 2002) - Dwight
Hendrickson, president and c.e.o. of Unirez, Inc., announced today that
it has signed an agreement with Lees Inns to provide reservation services
for the independent chain. The southern Indiana company, founded in 1976
by Lester Lee, owns and operates 19 highly successful, limited service
hotels.
"We've been extremely stringent in our demands for a new reservation system, and have researched numerous companies over the past year. We feel very confident in our decision, and believe that Unirez offers the best reservations services in the industry," said Lee, CEO of the chain. "Our new partnership will allow us to realize reservations and guests that we have not had before, in addition to dramatically improving our presence and online booking capabilities," he stated. "This is a very exciting opportunity for Unirez in that Lees Inns will be utilizing every service offered by our company," said Hendrickson. "Lees Inns will take advantage of our unique reservations model by utilizing our Internet-based ASP technology, seamless GDS connectivity, proprietary Booking Engine to power www.leesinn.com, connectivity to all major travel Internet sites as well as our private label voice services. Lees Inns is a very progressive company and we are delighted to be partnering with them as they forge ahead into the millennium to meet the increasingly demanding requirements of the changing lodging industry," he concluded. Lees Inns will utilize Unirez's "Hotel Factory" system to handle all incoming reservations, running the application via the Internet. Through Hotel Factory, Lees Inns will have the ability to update rates and availability chain-wide, use Unirez's sophisticated inventory management system for increased efficiency, as well as the ability to manage each distribution channel (GDS, Internet, voice) independently from the same database of information. The system also contains comprehensive reporting functionality that allows access to production information online and in real time from anywhere in the world via the Internet. The decision to select Unirez completes phase one of a three phase project to bring Lees Inns up to date in technology systems for improved operational efficiency and to meet the increasing CRM demands in the lodging industry. The next steps will involve a real time corporate reporting module and an integrated PMS with central database, allowing all reservations, reports, and guest information to flow seamlessly at every level.
