Enhance Hyatts Revenue Management System |
CHICAGO, June 15, 2002 -Hyatt
Hotels Corporation has licensed maxim®
from Yield Management
Systems, LLC (YMSI) to enhance and upgrade the capabilities of Hyatts
current revenue management system. Hyatt has also engaged YMSI to provide
ongoing advanced revenue management support.
Hyatt has been using an earlier version of the maxim® technology in its North American and Caribbean hotels since 1996 with great success. Hyatts revenue management system utilizes maxims patented Marginal Value Engine™ , to achieve the highest level of revenue from rate and room offerings. maxim® is the first Revenue Management Solution that blends advanced forecasting and optimization algorithms with extremely user-friendly navigation screens and tools. These unique features ensure that maxim® can be adapted for use in large or small hotels and in a variety of operating environments - the result is that each hotel can achieve the greatest revenue benefit in the least amount of time. Hyatts revenue management system will continue to be highly integrated with their SPIRITTM central reservations system as well as with their property management systems. Hyatt plans to deploy their customized version of maxim® to all North American and Caribbean hotels. YMSI will be working closely with Hyatt and Computer Science Corporation (CSC) on this project; CSC performs IT outsourcing for Hyatt. "We are delighted that our maxim® revenue management solution has been selected by Hyatt Hotels Corporation to enhance their current system," said Steve Gelb, Managing Director of YMSI. "We are also proud to have been selected to provide advanced revenue management assistance to Hyatt Hotels Corporation to support the deployment of maxim® to all of Hyatts North American and Caribbean hotels." "CSC is pleased to work closely with YMSI and Hyatt on this strategic project," said Scott Andersen, Account Executive for CSC. "CSCs systems integration, deployment and operational expertise combined with YMSIs outstanding product and revenue management expertise has allowed this project to move forward quickly and provide immediate value to Hyatt."
