OHANA Hotels & Resorts Completes $2 million
Renovation Project on Two Waikiki Hotels

HONOLULU, OAHU, HAWAII - June 19, 2002 - OHANA Hotels & Resorts has completed a $2 million renovation project on two of its Waikiki hotels. The 101-room OHANA Royal Islander, located at 2164 Kalia Road, has re-opened following a three-month closure. Work on the neighboring 110-room OHANA Reef Lanai, located at 225 Saratoga Road, was completed earlier this year in February.

"Travelers looking for a terrific value close to Waikiki beach should tell their travel agents to book them at the OHANA Royal Islander or the OHANA Reef Lanai," said Bitsy Kelley, director of business and brand development for OHANA Hotels. "Both properties enjoy a prime Waikiki location, literally steps from the beach and Fort DeRussy Park. And now each hotel offers comfortable guest rooms with fresh island motifs in soothing earth tones."

Newly refurbished lobbies with island themed artwork, wood furnishings and
quartzite stone flooring now greet guests checking into the OHANA Reef Lanai and OHANA Royal Islander. Elevators also have been upgraded with security in mind - a guest's valid card key is now necessary to access all guest floors  Corridors, guest rooms and suites at both hotels sport new wallpaper and carpeting. Other upgrades include new bedspreads, drapery, sofa beds, and fully refinished and reupholstered furnishings. At the OHANA Reef Lanai, new beds and televisions were part of the upgrade as well as new granite counter tops and updated fixtures in the property's kitchenette

While the décor may have changed at both properties, the hotel staffs have not, so guests can count on receiving the same quality of island hospitality that they have enjoyed throughout the years. Also, the OHANA Reef Lanai continues to offer a complimentary continental breakfast for its guests each morning.

Guests of both hotels have pool privileges at the beachfront Outrigger Reef hotel, which is located across the street from the OHANA Royal Islander and a mere two-minute walk from the OHANA Reef Lanai. The Outrigger Reef also offers the Cowabunga Kids Club, Serenity Spa Hawaii and a selection of restaurants, shops and beach services that OHANA guests can enjoy.

The OHANA Royal Islander and OHANA Reef Lanai are two of 13 OHANA properties located in the heart of Waikiki. Last year, the brand expanded to the Neighbor Islands when the company assumed management of the OHANA Maui Islander in historic Lahaina Town and the OHANA Keauhou Beach on the island of Hawaii. 2001 also saw the first OHANA hotel to open outside of Hawaii on Guam with the introduction of the OHANA Oceaview Guam, followed on June 1, 2002, with the opening of OHANA's second Guam property, the OHANA Bayview Guam.

OHANA Hotels & Resorts is a division of Hawaii-based Outrigger Enterprises, Inc., the largest lodging company in Hawaii and one of the fastest growing lodging companies in the Pacific.
