25, 2002 - On May 15th, RIU Hotels and Resorts will open the doors of the
largest establishment in the chain. The 5-star, 700 room ClubHotel
Riu Jalisco is in Puerto Vallarta, on Mexico's Pacific coast, will feature
high quality all-inclusive stays.
The six-floor establishment is on Playa de Flamingos, two kilometres
from Nuevo Vallarta and just 300 metres from the Flamingos golf club.
Its facilities include two fresh-water swimming pools, a children's
pool, two jacuzzis, a sun terrace, a saloon bar, a pool-side bar, a water
bar, Italian and Brasilian restaurants, a beach bar, miniclub and a kid's
park.
And as for sports and leisure facilities, the ClubHotel will offer
a 'wellness' centre, a sauna, a gymnasium, a hairdressing salon, beauty
and massage treatments, table-tennis, shuffleboard, boules, a shooting
range, skin-diving in the pool, two hard tennis courts, a multi-purpose
sports pitch, windsurfing, sailing, kayaking and snorkeling.
There is daily entertainment for adults and children of between 4 and
12, evening shows and a discoteque.
RIU's ClubHotels differ from the group's traditional product for its
special emphasis on entertainment, sports and the gardens surrounding the
establishment.
Currently, there are nine RIU ClubHotels, two of which are in Mexico.
RIU in Mexico
The ClubHotel Riu Jalisco is RIU's fifth to be opened in Mexico.
The first four opened over the past five years in Playa del Carmen, by
the Mexican Caribbean - the Riu Yucatán, the ClubHotel Riu Tequila,
the Riu Palace México and the Riu Playacar, between them offering
some 2000 rooms. |
