AUSTIN, TX � October 24, 2001
John J. Cahill, CHA, CHTP, was installed as president of Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) during the President�s Evening dinner and dance at the association�s 2001 Annual Convention & Tradeshow in Phoenix, Ariz. Cahill is chief information officer for Manhattan East Suite Hotels in New York. He has been a member of HFTP since 1981 and has served on the HFTP Nominating, Hotel, CHTP, Education, International Relations, Paragon Selection, and HITEC Advisory committees and councils. Cahill is a 1993 inductee into the HFTP International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame and has served as president and vice president of the HFTP Fairfield/Westchester Counties Chapter, of which he is a cofounder. Cahill has also been a speaker at numerous HFTP conferences and an author for HFTP�s journal, The Bottomline. Wendy K. Zurstadt, CPA, CHAE, CHTP, was installed as president-elect of Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals. Zurstadt is controller of The Hartford Golf Club, in Hartford, Conn. Since becoming a member in 1993, Zurstadt has served as chair of the HFTP Education committee, and on the HFTP Certification, Education, Nominating, Communication, Chapter of the Year, and HITEC Advisory committees. Zurstadt is currently the chair of the HITEC Advisory Council. On the local level, Zurstadt has been the president of the HFTP - Northern Connecticut Chapter, of which she is a founding member. She is also a founding member of the New Jersey Club Controllers Association, which chartered as the HFTP Mid-Jersey Chapter in 1993. Tina Marie Samson, CHAE, was installed as vice president of HFTP. She is the chief financial officer for Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando in Orlando, Fla. Samson is currently the chair of the 2001-2002 HFTP Education Advisory Council. Samson has been a member of HFTP since 1989 and has served on the HFTP Nominating, Chapter Relations, and Communications committees, as well as on the HFTP Board for two years. She also served four years on the HFTP San Diego chapter�s board, the last as its president. Frank Agnello Jr., CHAE, CMA, was installed as secretary/treasurer of HFTP. Agnello is the controller for The Wyndgate in Rochester Hills, Mich. He has been a member of HFTP since 1980 and has served as a member of the HFTP Board of Directors. He has also served on the Chapter Relations, Club, Publications and HFTP Chapter of the Year committees. Agnello is a member of the Detroit chapter, where he served for 15 years as a chapter officer, which included six years as chapter president. He has been an author for HFTP�s journal, The Bottomline and has been a presenter at HFTP�sAnnual Convention and regional conferences. In addition to his involvement in HFTP, he is a member of Institute of Management Accounting, a charter member of the student chapter of Club Manager Association of America (CMAA) at Michigan State University and an officer of the Troy Jaycees. Agnello holds a B.A. in hotel, restaurant & institutional management from Michigan State University and an M.B.A. in accounting from Wayne State University. The 2001-2002 Board of Directors for Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) were installed during HFTP�s Annual Business Meeting at the association�s 2001 Annual Convention & Tradeshow in Phoenix, Ariz.
