Nuss was most recently General Manager of the AAA Five Diamond Omni Houston Hotel which was singled out as the top hotel for guest satisfaction in 2000 for Omni Hotels as measured by J. D. Powers and Associates.  He was recognized in 2000 as the �Ideal General Manager of the Year for Customer Service� for all Omni Hotels.

Previous assignments with Omni included General Manager of the Omni Austin Southpark and Omni Berkshire Place in New York City, Resident Manager of the Omni Royal Orleans and Controller of the Omni Houston. Nuss� previous hospitality experience also includes positions with The Westin St. Francis in San Francisco, The Westin Crown Center in Kansas City and The Westin Cypress Creek in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
 

Also, Carlos Flores has been named Corporate Controller of the Valencia Group. His responsibilities encompass all accounting and financial operations for the Valencia Group corporate offices and the hotel accounting operations of the company�s Hotel Valencia brand of distinctive luxury hotels. Flores� most recent position was Regional Controller for Performance Management,

Prior to Performance Management, International, Flores was controller of the Camino Real del Paso Norte in El Paso, Texas.  Flores 28 years of hospitality experience include 18 years with Westin Hotels & Resorts including the opening of The Westin San Francisco Airport.

The Valencia Group, based in Houston, Texas, is currently constructing the Hotel Valencia Santana Row in San Jose, California, and the Hotel Valencia Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas.
