Alex Shevchenko to Management Positions |
| VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. � August 15, 2001 -
Professional Hospitality Resources has announced that Becky
T. Pickett was named Director of Sales for the Ramada Inn at
the Beach.
In her new position, Pickett will manage and coordinate the sales efforts of the 167-room hotel and meeting facility. She will maximize revenue through management of overnight room sales and provide training and direction to the sales department. Pickett will also coordinate group events with the catering department. She will be responsible for soliciting local, national, association and military business. Previously, Pickett served as Director of Group Sales for The Royal Plaza Hotel & Trade Center in Marlborough, Massachusetts. Pickett holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio, Television and Motion Picture Broadcast Management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Pickett and her husband are residents of Chesapeake. Also PHR has appointed Alex Shevchenko as Corporate Revenue Manager. Based out of PHR�s Virginia Beach corporate offices, Shevchenko will be tasked with maximizing the company�s revenue at its 10 hotel properties through the adjustment of inventory and pricing controls. He will develop comprehensive short and long term forecasts for occupancy and determine transient demand. In addition, Shevchenko will create an analysis of market segments and determine the success of the properties� marketing campaigns. Previously, Shevchenko served as Revenue Manager for the Double Tree Hotel in Largo, MD. In that position, he won the Double Tree brand�s �Best Overall RevPAR� award for the year 2000. Shevchenko holds a Masters of Management in Hospitality from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University. A native of Ukraine, Shevchenko is now a resident of Virginia Beach. Professional Hospitality Resources manages ten hotels and holds ownership is a majority of them.
