August 15, 2001 - Micarl Hill has been named
general manager of Clayton on the Park, a high-rise mixed-use luxury hotel
and residential complex located at the corner of Brentwood Blvd. and Bonhomme
Ave. in Clayton. The 23-story Clayton on the Park is owned by Conrad
Properties and is comprised of 213 luxury hotel suites, apartments and
corporate suites designed for business travelers, tourists and long-term
stay guests.
Hill, a California native and a resident of Clayton, is a 24-year veteran
of the hospitality industry. He most recently served as vice president
of operations for Woodside Hotels & Resorts in Redwood City, Calif.,
where he was responsible for the company�s six properties with a combined
total revenue exceeding $121 million. He also has served as general
manager of several other distinctive hotels, including The Clift Hotel
and the Huntington Hotel in San Francisco, and Seattle�s Sorrento Hotel.
He has earned numerous industry awards and recognition, including the
1992 Distinguished Alumnus of the Year award from the California Polytechnic
University at Pomona, School of Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Management
and San Francisco�s Hotel Sales Marketing Association�s Member of the Year
award.
