  Francis Brennan, Owner of Ireland's Park Hotel Kenmare, 
Named Chairman of the International Board of Small Luxury 
Hotels of the World 2001- 2003

DALLAS, June 13 - Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) today announced that Francis Brennan, owner of Ireland's Park Hotel Kenmare, will serve as 
Chairman of the International Board of Small Luxury Hotels of the World 2001- 2003.  Brennan succeeds John Cope, the President and Managing Director of The Huntington Hotel in San Francisco, who completed his two-year term.

The 284-member luxury hotel consortium also elected two new board members.  Julia Schroeder, hotel manager of the Bellevue Club Hotel in Seattle, WA, and Friedrich Gross,

owner of the Chateau Grand Barrail in St. Emilion, France, will join the eight other members representing particular regions around the world (Europe/Africa, The Americas and Asia Pacific).

The chairman and the board members are responsible for the management and development of SLH.  The board guides the organization towards providing increasingly high standards while making its portfolio ever more accessible to customers throughout the world. The eleven-member team must also ensure that the interests of all member hoteliers are represented and that a high degree of continuity is maintained.
