Deal of the Year At UCLA Extension�s 16th Annual Hotel Industry Investment Conference |
CLEVELAND, Jan. 25, 2001 - Boykin Lodging Company, a hotel real
estate investment trust, said today that last September�s exchange of certain
properties with Hilton Hotels Corporation was voted �Deal of the Year under
$30 million� at the UCLA Extension�s 16th Annual Hotel Industry Investment
Conference held in Los Angeles last week. The award was jointly accepted
by Robert W. Boykin, chairman and chief executive officer of Boykin, and
Matthew J. Hart, executive vice president and chief financial officer of
Hilton. The two companies announced on September 19, 2000, that they had
exchanged certain hotel properties which would have more strategic value
in each other�s portfolios.
Boykin Lodging Company is a real estate investment trust that focuses on the ownership of full-service, upscale commercial and resort hotels.
