Whistler, BC – (December 19, 2014) – Whistler’s picturesque Nita Lake Lodge is excited to announce the appointment of Denis Cote, as their new Food and Beverage Manager. Originally from Quebec, Denis brings a true passion for the hospitality industry and expertise acquired over a decade in renowned international ski destinations such as Aspen, Verbier and Queenstown.

Most recently, Denis was the Food and Beverage Director and General Manager of 39 Degrees Lounge at the Sky Hotel in Aspen, Colorado. There he garnered numerous media write-ups both nationally and internationally for his bartending prowess and Beverage Analyst named him one of the Top 10 mixologists in the US in 2009. He was also named Bartender of the Year in 2006 by Grey Goose in the USA.

“Nita Lake Lodge is a true gem in Whistler and they are known for their culinary excellence in all of their food and beverage outlets,” says Denis Cote. “I hope, along with my new team, to be able to take Aura Restaurant, The Cure Lounge and Fix Café to the next level and increase their culinary reputation with both locals and visitors alike”.

Denis is very excited to be joining the hospitality team at Nita Lake Lodge and to be living in in Whistler with his wife and young daughter. Having travelled and lived extensively in numerous of the world’s best ski destinations, he is happy to return home to Canada and Whistler where he first skied back in 1996.
