May 11, 2015. Tampa, FL— Waramaug LS Hotels, LLC announced today the purchase of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Greenville Airport. The hotel is comprised of 83 rooms and suites and is located between Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport and the city of Greenville. Waramaug will initiate a comprehensive refurbishment to reflect updated brand standards, and has retained Interstate Hotels & Resorts to operate the hotel.

“Greenville and Spartanburg counties continue to transform into a headquarters and manufacturing center that has lured a variety of companies to invest heavily in the area,” said Paul Stern, Principal, Waramaug LS Hotels, LLC. “We see strong upside in this asset following renovation and a sustained marketing program.”

The property draws business from many Fortune 500 companies, quality universities, and numerous leisure activities. Its expanding demand base includes companies including BMW, Michelin North America, Fluor Corporation and General Electric. Notably, BMW, whose only assembly plant in the US is in close proximity to the hotel, announced in 2014 a $1 billion expansion which will expand the plant by 50%.

The acquisition was arranged by The Ehmer Group.
