BEIJING, July 1, 2015 — Wanda Hotels & Resorts, an international luxury hotel management company original from China, has appointed Mr. Qian Jin as President. In his new role, Mr. Qian will lead and oversee the international growth plan of Wanda Hotels & Resorts, and focus on the collective goals of the luxury hotel chain.

Mr. Qian is a well-respected expert in his nearly 30 years in the luxury hospitality industry. He began his career in Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. in 1986, in the service of Sheraton Hua Ting Hotel in Shanghai. Two years after, he was relocated to Fiji Island for the position of hotel manager and was then promoted to General Manager at Sheraton Langkawi Beach Resort in 1995. Mr. Qian joined the group’s regional headquarters in Singapore in 2000 to oversee the operations in Greater China. In 2012, he was named President of Greater China, where he introduced new initiatives for Chinese guests and developed the business in China. Under his guidance, the brand’s footprint and pipeline expanded and he established the country’s regional office in Shanghai.

An MBA graduate of Bond University, Australia, Mr. Qian earned his Doctorate degree in Business Administration from Victoria University.
