Unique new RFID locking system provides an integrated in-room solution with sleek "no hardware" design and customizable functionality
Dallas - June 24, 2013 - VingCard Elsafe, the global leader in hospitality security and part of the ASSA ABLOY Group, announces the introduction of "Allure by VingCard," a highly innovative RFID locking solution with a unique, interactive design and more features than ever before available in an electronic locking system. Allure by VingCard will be demonstrated at HITEC 2013, the world's largest hospitality technology show, taking place June 24-27 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Demonstrations of the Allure by VingCard locking system will take place continuously throughout the show at Booth #801.
VingCard Elsafe initiated a growing trend toward minimizing lock hardware on the guestroom door with the introduction of its Essence by VingCard locking system last year. For more information on Essence, please click here. Created with the hotel designer in mind, Allure by VingCard is a flexible, design-centric hardware and software solution that takes the minimalistic "invisible lock" concept one step further.
With Allure by VingCard, all external hardware on the door has now been completely eliminated through the use of a futuristic signage panel that adds a host of additional benefits and functionality to the locking system. These include a higher degree of flexibility in design, as well as the ability to add guest-facing in-room features such as "Do Not Disturb (DND) and "Make Up Room" (MUR) notifications to hotel staff. This is accomplished through an interactive touch panel located inside the room. An LED light on the door lock alerts staff of the request so that guests are not disturbed unnecessarily.
An attractive exterior panel, easily installed on the wall next to the door in both reconstruction and new construction hotels, can be used to showcase the hotel's logo to allow for personalization. It also includes a touch doorbell, displays the room number, and notifies the guest when the door has been unlocked. The flexible design allows it to be used either as a component of a VingCard RFID locking system or as a pure DND/MUR panel-only configuration, which can be installed in properties that already have a locking system in place.
Allure by VingCard integrates VingCard Elsafe's most advanced contactless locking solutions into the interior electronics, including industry leading Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) communication. This refined, contemporary and intuitive new concept in design and technology is patent pending.
"Allure by VingCard is the next generation of hotel design and technology," said Tim Shea, president of ASSA ABLOY Hospitality. "Guests are becoming accustomed to visual readability, ease of use, and touch panel operation when it comes to their devices. Allure combines all of these features, bringing hotels the most advanced concept in door locks on the market. VingCard Elsafe is proud to once again provide the very best aspects of design and innovative security technology."
The idea behind the advent of Allure by VingCard is to modernize hotel technology when it comes to guest and hotel needs, and to "Stay Trendy" with a sleek design upgrade. Hotel door locks have traditionally presented a challenge to hotel design professionals, such as architects and interior designers, who are tasked with blending the lock hardware into the hotel décor. Allure eliminates the lock external hardware on the door while incorporating the latest technologies, such as RFID communication. It is also built for integration with the hotel's PMS, as well as future integration with Orion, VingCard Elsafe's intelligent energy management system. Allure is a pure RFID lock, meaning it operates using both RFID cards and mobile RFID keys. For hotel designers, the integration options are unlimited.
Allure by VingCard is also compatible with VISIONLINE, a patented networking solution created by VingCard in 2006 that revolutionized the industry by introducing a wireless RF-online system based on its highly advanced and proprietary technology. Unlike traditional off-line standalone locks, VISIONLINE by VingCard uses RF-online communication to eliminate the need for hotel staff to travel to and from guestrooms to perform tasks such as reprogramming individual locks and identifying or changing low batteries. It also eliminates the need for guests to return to the front desk in order to change a room or extend a stay, increasing guest convenience and satisfaction.
VingCard Elsafe is the world leader in developing locking systems, electronic in-room safes and energy management solutions for the hospitality industry, offering user-friendly systems that meet the unique operational needs of hotels and resorts.
