LOS ANGELES, Jan. 25, 2017 / — Viceroy Hotel Group (VHG) has chosen one of its own senior leaders to fill the role of Chief Financial Officer. Announced today, Jeff Smith has been promoted to CFO, effective immediately.

Since May 2014, Smith has served as Senior Vice President of Finance at VHG, overseeing all aspects of corporate and hotel accounting and finance activities, while also managing the brand's risk, compliance and underwriting functions. In his new role, Smith will continue to lead those areas, in addition to the function of strategic planning and the continued growth of VHG.

With over 25 years of hospitality experience, Smith is well poised to grow VHG internationally. Prior to joining VHG, he worked for Intercontinental Hotels Group, holding roles as Director of Finance and Director of FP&A for the Americas Region. His responsibilities spanned Owned, Managed and Franchised estates across 7 brands and 5 countries.

Smith earned his Bachelor of Science Degree and MBA from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
