Ve-Go and OpenWays Unveil Hospitality's 1st Complete Mobile Guest Solution

Now available from a single provider, RoomKey powered by Ve-Go mobile app completes the mobile experience with integration of Mobile Key to mobile check-in/-out and room selection
Los Angeles - OCTOBER 14, 2014 - OpenWays and Ve-Go Technologies Inc. announce hospitality's first comprehensive mobile guest engagement tool that takes travelers "from reservations to rooms" with just a touch. Developed as a mobile travel agent (MTA), Ve-Go's RoomKey solution is enabling travelers to use their mobile devices to not only make hotel reservations, but also select rooms, check-in/-out, receive their bill, and virtually control their entire stay. By integrating OpenWays' Mobile Key with the RoomKey platform, guests can now complete their journeys to bypass the front desk and zip to their rooms using the app to also unlock their room doors.
"There is a lot of talk in the industry about the mobile guest experience and using guest-facing apps for check in and receiving room keys," said Peter Klebanoff, OpenWays senior vice president, business development. Vikas Bhakta, Ve-Go Technologies founder and CEO, concurred with Klebanoff, and said that in order to offer a compelling mobile check-in solution, along with PMS-integration and room selection, an embedded mobile key must be included. Key to implementation success, he said, is the partnerships between the mobile app developer, the mobile key provider and the property-management system supplier.

RoomKey + Mobile Key = Happy Guests

The app can be used immediately to book a room, select a room and receive easy check in. On the day of arrival, the mobile key icon next to the displayed room number will be activated. Guests simply proceed directly to their rooms upon arrival and touch the key icon to securely unlock their room doors.
