HARBOUR ISLAND, BAHAMAS May 6, 2015 – Thomas Parke, a 25-year veteran of the hospitality industry, has been named general manager of Pink Sands Resort, located on Harbour Island . The legendary property, on one of the most pristine beachfronts in the world, is undergoing a renovation of its cottages and adding luxury estate homes. Parke will oversee all day-to-day operations of the 20-acre property, which currently consists of 25 cottages and two estate homes, its culinary offerings and services as well as the extensive re-development project.

Parke is a creative luxury resort specialist leading efforts on properties across the globe. His career has spanned three different continents leading efforts for properties in the Maldives, Phuket, France, Puerto Rico and Hawaii. For the past 12 years, Parke has overseen the opening of four premium luxury resorts in Florida, home to the three top public golf courses in the state. Parke’s brand experience includes leadership positions with Banyan Tree, the Waldorf Astoria and Intercontinental. A seasoned opening and rebranding professional, Parke brings extensive experience to the position after leading launches for Banyan Tree Resorts, Waldorf Astoria Orlando and Intercontinental Resorts.
