NEW YORK, NY – Dec. 14, 2017The William Vale, a multiuse destination located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, proudly welcomes David Lemmond as the new General Manager. David brings over 20 years of boutique and lifestyle hotel expertise, previously working on each of Andre Balazs’ Standard Hotels. He will be responsible in directing the overall day-to-day operations, overseeing the sales and marketing divisions and ensuring that each and every guest experiences a one-of-a-kind, world-class hospitality experience.

David began his career in the Rittenhouse Hotel in Philadelphia and from there worked his way across the coast to ultimately coordinate the pre-opening and daily operation of the first Hotel in The Standard brand in West Hollywood. From then on, he fostered the growth of the brand and assisted with other top openings for Andre Balazs Properties including Downtown LA, Miami and the East Village, Manhattan property while running the popular High Line location in New York City. David was responsible for the overall operation, financial performance and cultural integrity of the hotel. He led an executive team of eight and helped bring in nearly $100 million worth of revenue per year.

“As a resident of Brooklyn, I immediately recognized the exciting and special nature of The William Vale, and with my prior experience in managing high profile lifestyle hotels as well as my focus on ‘sense of place’ in specific neighborhoods, I am confident I will be able to continue to connect the dots between both and see it the next level,” stated Lemmond.

In addition to The Standard Brand, David also worked with, The Highland Dallas and Hotel Vitale, to name a few. He graduated from Skidmore College with a Bachelor of Arts and has previously been on the Board of Directors for Hospitality Association of North Texas, University Crossing PID, Dallas and Meat Packing Improvement Association, New York.
