About Keswick Hall
History and breathtaking landscapes come together near Charlottesville, Virginia, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Nestled on 600 acres of pristine countryside, Keswick Hall is an impressive 48-room mansion with exceptional dining, genuine service and resort amenities that combine to provide guests with a unique country estate experience. Each of Keswick Hall's 48 guest rooms is subtly themed and features antiques and linens and fabrics in heirloom patterns. Facing formal gardens at the front and the golf course and lush rolling fields at the back, each room features antique furnishings, custom carpets, luxurious bed and bath linens, hand-painted armoires, personal collectables and a rich, residential feel. Generously sized bathrooms feature separate, glass-enclosed showers, oversized or claw footed tubs and antique porcelain bathroom sets. In keeping with the grandest and most authentic estates, the public rooms at Keswick Hall are inviting and filled with period inspired furnishings and art that tell the story of the original home, Villa Crawford circa 1912. Roaring wood burning fireplaces create a welcoming environment for a game of snooker, an evening cocktail or an afternoon of reading from the Inn's library of books written by Virginians or about Virginia. And coming this summer, Keswick Hall's golf course will reopen as a newly designed legendary Pete Dye course.
For dining guests may choose Keswick Hall's signature restaurant, Fossett's, featuring expansive floor to ceiling windows with spectacular views of the estate's pristine landscape and the Blue Ridge Mountains. During the mild weather months, Fossett's offers al fresco terrace seating overlooking the rolling fairways of the estate's golf course. Named in honor of Thomas Jefferson's chief cook at Monticello, Edith Fossett (1787-1854), who was trained in French cooking. Fossett's offers a farm-to-table menu that is approachable, contemporary, and innovative. For casual dining guests may experience The Palmer Room with its club atmosphere.
