DAYTONA BEACH, FL – The Lodging and Hospitality Association of Volusia County held its Annual Employee Appreciation & Scholarship Luncheon at Café 101 located in the Mori Hosseini College of Hospitality and Culinary Management on the campus of Daytona State College.

Over 200 people attended the event that recognized 40 employees in the hospitality industry and presented six Hospitality Students from both Bethune-Cookman University and Daytona State College scholarship. The guest speaker was Chip Wile, President of International Speedway Corporation. The culinary and hospitality students at Daytona State College prepared and served the meal.

The Hospitality Scholarship winners from Bethune-Cookman University were Celina Forte, Dou’kriesha Blackmond, Na’imah Latson and Phelisha Colebrooke. Daytona State College winners were Joshaun Parker-Williams, Eileen Camacho and Marianne McGinnis.

Bob Davis, President/CEO of the Hotel & Lodging Association with over 50 years in the hospitality stated this was one of his proudest moments to honor those in this great industry.
