LOS ANGELES, Calif. (July 25, 2017) – Journal Hotels announced today the appointment of Kendall Viola to director of sales at The Hollywood Roosevelt. In this role Viola will be responsible for the leadership of all sales initiatives to drive revenue at the iconic hotel as it celebrates its 90th anniversary this year, developing strategic new business opportunities and creating customized solutions for guest and group needs.

Kendall’s extensive background results-oriented approach that goes beyond the bottom-line will further that commitment."

Viola comes to The Hollywood Roosevelt with more than ten years of hospitality sales and marketing experience. Prior joining The Hollywood Roosevelt, Viola served as director of sales and marketing for Dream Hollywood, where she lead and executed all pre-opening sales and marketing initiatives for the first west coast outpost of the Dream Hotel Group.

Previously, Viola served as director of sales and marketing at the flagship Hotel Indigo Lower East Side in New York City leading the property to accolades including ‘World’s Leading Boutique Hotel’ and World’s Leading New Hotel in Sales, Marketing and PR’ at the annual World Travel Awards. Viola’s hospitality career also includes various positions at top international luxury brands including InterContinental Hotels Group, Thompson Hotels and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.

Viola graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelor of Arts in Entertainment Event Management and concentration in Hotel Management.
