Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts Names Stephen Fewell and Daniel Feuglister as General Managers

ZURICH, June 12, 2013 - Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the following executive appointments: Stephen Fewell as General Manager of Swissôtel Kamelia and Swissôtel Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi, Russia, and Daniel Fueglister, as General Manager of Swissôtel Kunshan in China.

Stephen Fewell moves to Sochi from Swissôtel Kunshan where he was the General Manager since 2008. He brings with him over 25 years of hospitality experience in senior management positions and has led Swissôtel Kunshan to receive accolades such as the Best Business Hotel at the Travel & Leisure Awards China 2012, and the 10 Most Outstanding Regional Business Hotel at the 2012 Asia Hotel Golden-Olive Awards. He is now tasked with the pre-opening of the two new properties in Sochi, which are slated to open by 2013, in time for the 2014 Winter Olympics Games.
Stephen started his hospitality career in Australia in 1987 with the pre-opening of the Grand Hyatt Melbourne as Operations Manager. He subsequently moved on to become the General Manager at Hotel Enterprize Melbourne and subsequently held the same position at Rendezvous International Hotel, Adelaide and Golden Tulip Hotel in Melbourne. In 2005, he ventured to China where he held the position of General Manager at Argyle International Hotel, Shanghai and Sofitel Suzhou until 2008 when he joined Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts. An Australian national, Stephen is also a three-time winner of the Australian Hotels Association Awards - twice for State Award for Excellence, Melbourne Hotel and winning the General Manager's Achievement Award, Melbourne once.
Daniel Fueglister, General Manager of Swissôtel Kunshan
Daniel Fueglister, who has been in the hospitality industry for over 35 years, takes over the helm at Swissôtel Kunshan. He moves to China from Swissôtel Sydney in Australia, where he was the General Manager since 2011. Daniel first joined Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts in 2008, where he was appointed General Manager at Swissôtel Le Plaza, Basel in Switzerland.
Daniel first started his career at the Hotel Metropol, St. Gallen in Switzerland, which was followed by various operational and management work experiences in renowned hotels around Switzerland such as Hotel Chesa Guardalej in St. Moritz, Hôtel du Rhône in Genève and Posthotel Weggis. Prior to joining Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts, Daniel was the General Manager of the See & Park Hotel Feldbach, Steckborn in 1994 and the Hotel Saratz, Pontresina in 2003. Daniel is a Swiss National and holds an MBA from the Graduate School of Business Administration (GSBA) in Zürich.

The company also manages Fairmont and Raffled branded Residences, Estates and luxury private residence club properties.
