Orlando, Florida, March 2015—The National Center for Hospitality Studies at Sullivan University has committed to offering scholarships to members of the top three winning teams of the 2015 HTMP International Competition hosted by the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI). The 12th annual competition will be held April 23-25 at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida, and will bring together teams of enthusiastic, motivated high school hospitality students who will demonstrate their skills and knowledge as they compete for scholarships to leading hospitality programs.

Sullivan University's National Center for Hospitality Studies offers associate and bachelor's degree programs in hospitality and restaurant management, beverage management, and event planning and tourism at its Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky campuses. The university has pledged single-year scholarships in the following amounts: For the first-place team, $15,000 per student; for the second-place team, $10,000 per student; and for the third-place team, $8,000 per student.

The student teams that participate in the annual competition are enrolled in high school programs that use AHLEI's Hospitality and Tourism Management Program (HTMP) curriculum, which introduces them to the many opportunities available in the hospitality industry and guides them on a career path.
