WASHINGTON, DC – January 3, 2018 – Stuart G. McColl has been named Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for the newly renovated 413-room Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown. The announcement was made by Mark Huntley Regional Vice President and General Manager.

In his new role, McColl will oversee Sales and Marketing for Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown, Fairmont Pittsburgh, Sofitel Washington DC Lafayette Square, Pullman Miami Airport Hotel and Fairmont Mayakoba Riviera Maya.

Prior to his new position, he was the director of sales and marketing Fairmont Mayakoba and regional director of sales and marketing for the Southeast US and Mexico for AccorHotels since January of 2014.

Previously, McColl was the regional director of revenue management, Fairmont Raffles Hotels International from October of 2007 to December of 2013.

From March of 2005 to October of 2006, he was the president of KSMC Inc.

McColl began his career at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto in 1986 in the hotel’s front office. He held progressive roles including sales manager and director of tour and travel. He then joined The Algonquin Hotel as director of sales and marketing in November of 1996. He became the regional director of sales and marketing for Delta Hotels in August of 1999. In August of 2002, he joined The Fairmont Royal York as the director of sales and marketing, and become the regional director of sales and marketing in 2003.

McColl is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts, he also took numerous courses in hospitality at George Brown College.
