June 19, 2013 12:26pm
June 19, 2013 (Austin, Texas USA) - Some of the keenest minds in the technology arena have been secured for the closing keynote session at the upcoming Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC). The session will be presented in a format similar to NBC's "Meet the Press," with the heavy hitters being asked difficult, thought provoking questions on the state of the hospitality technology industry. The session will cap HITEC 2013 on Thursday, June 27, starting at 3:15 p.m. at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
Secured panelists include:
Moderator Scot Campbell - Campbell is the vice president and chief information officer for Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc.
Theresa Payton - Payton is a former White House CIO and currently heads the cyber security firm Fortalice, LLC. She is also the speaker for HITEC 2013's Opening Keynote.
John Bollen - Bollen is the senior vice president and digital marketing officer for MGM Resorts Intl.
Sanjay Rama - Rama is a principal with JHM Hotels and the panel's youngest "change facilitator."
Plans for discussion topics are already in the works, including: whether Internet should be free for guests; the necessity of phones in guestrooms with the growth of BYOD; where the next IT leaders will come from; dangers to cloud computing; best practices for vendors during a pitch; changes to consumer behavior in the coming years; plus much more.
HITEC 2013, a service of Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®), is the world's largest hospitality technology exposition and conference. The conference is June 24-27. HITEC offers attendees essential education, access to experts and hospitality technology vendors, the opportunity to network with top leaders in the industry and the resources to find cost-effective ways to improve company bottom lines.
Attendee registration is now available on the web site. Visit HITEC.org for complete information about all conference and exhibition events, including the conference schedule, a list of exhibitors, a map of the exhibit hall and the most current HITEC news.
