RIVIERA MAYA, MEXICO (November 2016) – With every member of the family in mind, Sandos Caracol Eco Resort, has announced the renovation of their entire 639-room Family Section, transforming the traditional hotel suite into an idyllic retreat catering to the needs and comfort of multigenerational travelers. Located in Riviera Maya, an area teeming with culture and history, the $20 million investment at this all-inclusive resort aims to offer families even more convenience, comfort and entertainment featuring seamless in-room Wi-Fi, newly designed splash pools, cozy bunk beds and private bathrooms.
Sticking to the standards that have made Sandos Caracol Eco Resort a leader for practicing sustainability in the area, the Signature Eco Collection will be brought to life by using certified eco-friendly materials, LED lighting, a system for recycling gray and soapy water and an upgraded water heating system that does not use natural gas all put in place by local Riviera Maya companies and contractors. Aesthetically, the design will also adhere to the eco motif, playing with natural, earthy tones and featuring rustic wood paneling on the walls and floors. Pops of Caribbean-inspired colors brighten the rooms and appeal to the curious, sensory nature of younger guests. On the balconies of the Signature Eco Junior Suite, tiny travelers will be delighted to find that hot tubs have been replaced by personal plunge pools and when it's time to turn in, mom and dad will tuck the tots into cozy bunk beds that take the place of stuffy rollaway beds.
Over the course of three years, each of the resort’s 639 family rooms will be completely renovated and offer three distinct room categories including: Signature Eco Superior, Signature Eco Deluxe and Signature Eco Junior Suite. Slated to be completed just in time for a winter getaway, phase one will transform 92 rooms, creating 72 Signature Eco Superior rooms and 20 Signature Eco Junior Suites.
The Signature Eco Superior rooms comfortably fit up to three adults and one child, or two adults and two children featuring one king size bed complemented by a bunk bed. The Signature Eco Junior Suite will be a home away from home for up to a family of five featuring one king size bed and a bunk bed for three children. The suites also boast two showers and two separate restrooms offering privacy and convenience for all members of the family. This room category also offers a kid’s plunge pool on the balcony perfect for splashing around or simply cooling off while observing the local flora and fauna that surrounds guests in this lush, jungle-like environment.
In addition to the new and improved accommodations provided for families, the resort is also home to a variety of programs and amenities that make traveling with the family an easy and exciting adventure. From dedicated clubs and activities for kids of all ages to Mexico's first hotel Aqua Park, travelers of every age will have a tough time getting bored at Sandos Caracol Eco Resort. The Aqua Park boasts a total of 29 waterslides, splash areas and fountains making this area the oasis for a family vacation.
