SAN ANTONIO, Texas, Dec. 12, 2017 — The San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter and San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk hotels are pleased to announce the promotion of Greg Blum to the position of Director of Sales and Marketing. As Director, Greg’s goals are to further the rich legacy of guest service that places these hotels at the forefront of San Antonio hospitality.

Greg is a native of Chicago where he’s worked in the hospitality industry in Sales, Operations and Revenue Management for 30 years. He started his career with Hilton Hotels and then joined Marriott International in 1998.

Greg took over as new Director of Sales and Marketing at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter and Marriott Riverwalk on Monday, November 27th. Previously, he was the Director of Sales at the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel where he won the “Property Sales Leader of the Year” in 2016 for Marriott’s Northern Mid-America and South Central regions. This was thanks in part to successfully repositioning the hotel after a $32M renovation and helping to launch the award-winning Raised Urban Rooftop Bar.

Greg and his family are excited to become a part of the San Antonio community, where they can enjoy warm holiday seasons and the rich community that surrounds the properties. Each hotel is proud to begin this new chapter, embracing the future and continuing to provide a unique guest experience for today’s modern traveler.
