To support the company’s explosive growth, Lucy McQuilken is named CFO and Melissa Sloan is named Chief Strategy Officer

Boston, Mass. — June 15, 2016 — In response to overwhelming customer demand for its suite of mobile-marketing solutions, hospitality’s mobile engagement expert RoamingAround has added two new executives to its all-star team whose expertise will help manage and continue the company’s explosive growth in the field of Location-based Marketing. Lucy McQuilken joins the company as Consulting Chief Financial Officer, and Melissa Sloan is named Chief Strategy Officer. RoamingAround’s GEO Location Technology delivers localized and highly personalized indoor and outdoor automated mobile campaigns that enable a hotel’s mobile website to tap into the limitless possibilities of Location-Based knowledge.

McQuilken comes to RoamingAround from AtoB Consulting, a firm she founded to help high-potential startups successfully navigate their early funding rounds. She also served at Intel Capital as Director and Strategic Investment Manager where she invested in startups in the consumer Internet, social gaming, eCommerce and mobile sectors. Other positions include Co-Founder and CEO of Groove Mobile, a leading provider of mobile music services, and Sales Manager at Agilent/Hewlett Packard, where she worked as a key account sales manager, product manager, engineering manager, and manufacturing manager. Earlier in her career, McQuilken worked as an ASIC design engineer at Analog Devices and a Product Engineer at AMD.

“Joining RoamingAround during this pivotal time in its development is very exciting,” McQuilken said. “I was attracted to the strong business growth in the company’s RoamBOOST division, and the new products RoamingAround is planning to bring to the market. As CFO, I will be transmitting my enthusiasm to investors interested in phenomenal growth and who want to see RoamingAround stake an even bigger claim in the hospitality market.”

Sloan came to RoamingAround from Cenium where she served as Global Vice President of Business Development and also managed the company’s corporate relations with Microsoft, IBM and other strategic partners. Her technology career included working for companies such as RedskyIT, MICROS and MSI where she focused primarily on enterprise software specific to business process and optimization in financial, supply chain, CRM and other guest engagement solutions. Prior to entering the technology arena, Sloan held leadership positions with Promus, American Ski Company and Starwood, where she led sales and marketing teams across multi-property and resort destinations.

“Simply stated, I joined RoamingAround when the opportunity presented itself because of the products and the people,” Sloan said. “CEO Michael Garvin has assembled top talent to lead the company into its next phase of growth, and I was flattered when he approached me to join his great team.

“My focus will be on setting long-term strategy while assisting the teams with execution on a tactical level for both divisions,” she added. “I’m passionate about growing amazing companies, and RoamingAround is positioning itself to grow exponentially in the near future. Its mission is to bring essential technology to the hospitality industry, and I’m part of the team I believe can take it there.”

Garvin said Sloan’s global perspective, entrepreneurial-mind, driving passion for growth and success at leading teams at bringing new technologies to market will surely help fuel ongoing growth for RoamingAround. Equally, McQuilken’s background in investments and eCommerce will keep the company on a continued path towards financial success.

“Both of these women are true assets to RoamingAround,” Garvin said. “On behalf of the entire RoamingAround team, I welcome them aboard.”

Sloan will be present at HITEC in RoamingAround Booth 335, to be held June 21 to 23 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

“We will be showcasing a fantastic new product called No2fi, a system that notifies you when guests or customers arrive in specific areas that you choose ahead of time,” Sloan said. “There’s no hardware or software or integration necessary. Our ability to push specific guest-preference offers and messages is simply amazing. We’re bringing a whole new level of guest interaction to the market.

“Plus, we’re giving away a weekend to see the Red Sox and Yankees play,” Sloan said. “Why wouldn’t you stop by?”
