FELICITE ISLAND, Seychelles – May 5, 2015 – Rick Gonzalez has been appointed Executive Chef at Six Senses Zil Pasyon in the Seychelles, which is scheduled to open late 2015.

A graduate of the Institut Hôtelier César Ritz in Switzerland, Rick began his career in the United States in 1989 working at the restaurant Adrienne as a cook. This was followed by culinary roles at the Maurice restaurant, The Peninsula New York and Four Seasons Palm Beach. In addition to serving as Executive Chef at Los Suenos Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort in Costa Rica and opening his own restaurant featuring modern Latino cuisine, Chef Gonzalaz has had the opportunity to work with many renowned chefs including Jacques Chibois, Marc Haeberlin, Hubert Des Marais and Douglas Rodriguez.

In late 2006, Gonzalez moved to Ecuador to teach culinary arts at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito. Four years later he headed to Asia and joined one of the most famous restaurants in Bangkok, Sirocco at The Lebua Hotel. Since then he has continued to explore the world and recently opened Amanzo’e in Greece where he served as Executive Chef.
