IBIZA, SPAIN, July 27, 2016 – Palladium Hotels & Resorts announces new upgrades to its Grand Palladium Resort & Spa complexes located in Riviera Maya and Riviera Nayarit, Mexico; Punta Cana, Dominican Republic; and Montego Bay, Jamaica. Palladium continues to modernize its facilities to provide an elevated and luxurious vacation experience to guests with every stay.

GRAND PALLADIUM WHITE SAND RESORT & SPA IN RIVIERA MAYA, MEXICO Between August and December 2016, the Grand Palladium White Sand Resort & Spa property will undergo renovations and refurbishments of its accommodations, lobby, lobby bar, and dining spaces.

Accommodations: From August through October 2016, the Grand Palladium White Sand Resort & Spa’s Mayan suites, one-bedroom suites, and junior suites will be completely revamped with new furniture and upgraded décor, which will be in line with the colonial style of the complex. Mexican influences will be found in the combinations of textiles and the Designers Guild wallpaper that is inspired by the Riviera Maya mangroves. The renovations will be completed in stages, and villas where the renovations are taking place will be closed to prevent disturbing guests during their stays.

Food and beverage: The Grand Palladium White Sand’s Mediterranean à la carte restaurant Mare Nostrum is undergoing renovations between July 1 through September 15, 2016.

The Japanese à la carte restaurant Sumptuori will undergo renovations between September 16 through December 1, 2016. While the restaurant is being renovated, guests will be able to order Asian cuisine at La Hacienda Buffet during dinner service.

GRAND PALLADIUM PALACE RESORT & SPA IN PUNTA CANA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC After an overwhelmingly positive response to the recent renovations at the Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort & Spa complex, Palladium Hotels & Resorts will continue upgrading its facilities to add value to this desired Caribbean destination.

Accommodations: Renovations of the following Grand Palladium Palace Resort Spa & Casino accommodations began in May and will continue until October 2016:

  • 140 rooms will receive new furniture and décor, as well as renovated bathrooms and terraces.
  • 12 ocean view rooms on the ground floor will be turned into junior suites by transforming the terrace into interior space and adding a new exterior terrace to each room.
  • 42 suites will become loft suites with a new bathroom design, new décor, and a second bathroom on the upper level.
  • 28 double deluxe suites will receive a new bathroom design and new décor.

Food and beverage: From September through October 2016, the Behique buffet will not be available due to minor maintenance to the roof. During this time, Palladium will offer lunch at the nearest restaurant, which is the Grand Palladium Palace’s Las Torres buffet restaurant.

Spa facilities: From June through October 2016, Zentropia Palladium Spa & Wellness center will be upgraded and refurbished and the workout facilities adjacent to the spa will be upgraded with state-of-the-art equipment. During these changes, guests can enjoy most of the spa services and treatments at designated exterior massage spots located on the beach, at the pools, and in massage cabins in villa 86, located at the Grand Palladium Palace Resort Spa & Casino.

IMPROVEMENTS AT ADDITIONAL RESORTS

Grand Palladium Vallarta Resort & Spa in Riviera Nayarit, Mexico The property’s zoo will undergo minor construction to enhance the eco-friendly environment of the resort. The zoo currently holds rescued animals, including the mascot crocodile, Nayarit, and peacocks, monkeys, and rabbits, among others.

Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa in Montego Bay, Jamaica El Poseidon à la carte restaurant will be refurbished beginning mid August 2016 and is scheduled to be completed within 30 days of its start date. In the interim, the menu will be available at the Jamaican restaurant Xaimaica twice a week.
