Orlando, Florida – January 19, 2015ProfitSword, LLC and Acumen Information Systems, LLC have announced a joint venture to provide a total technology solution to the hospitality industry. ProfitSword is a leader in providing web-based business intelligence applications to the hospitality industry. Acumen Information Systems is a Gold Level reseller of the Sage 300 ERP software. The two Orlando-based companies have been building their partnership over the past year and have revealed their plans to offer a family of applications designed to improve efficiencies throughout all levels of an organization, as well as improve reporting capabilities and-most importantly-profitability.

"ProfitSword has never had any intention of taking the leap to develop a full GL/ERP system. And the Sage 300 GL/ERP solution is a great package that seemed like the perfect fit with the ProfitSage platform," says Tili Findley, Partner and Co-Owner of ProfitSword. "We built some limited integration with Sage 300 (formerly AccPac) in the past. However, we have been searching for the right partner to help us achieve a much higher level of integration. When we were introduced to the Acumen team, the opportunities to create an enhanced solution were immediately apparent and Acumen's knowledge and expertise of Sage 300 have been key."

The family of applications that will be offered by the new partnership include ProfitSword's B.I. applications, including ProfitSage, ProfitPlan, ProfitPace, ProfitWizard and now Sage 300. The introduction of the Sage solution adds a robust, multi-property accounting solution with HR, Payroll and Document Management capabilities. "There are many hotel management companies using GL systems that may be antiquated or offer no integration with hotel systems such as property management systems (PMS), point of sale (POS), time & attendance, sales, etc." says Findley. "Now these companies can upgrade their entire technology platform with the help of ProfitSword and Acumen to provide their corporate office and individual hotels with leading edge solutions."

Paul Crompton, Vice President of Business Development for Acumen, also expressed excitement over the opportunity to offer a total solution. "The Sage 300 ERP has been well-established in the hospitality industry, but could not provide the enhanced integration with hotel systems nor the comprehensive reporting offered within ProfitSage," says Crompton. "The marriage of the two solutions provides hospitality management companies all of the tools needed for sustainability and growth. According to both ProfitSword and Acumen, the partnership has already been embraced by one hotel management company with a 14-hotel portfolio. And, there are several others in the pipeline. "It has been our experience that companies would prefer the one-stop-shop option rather than trying to piecemeal their technology platform from multiple vendors," agreed both Findley and Crompton.
