Merchant Link continues to invest in leading edge technologies for credit card security
SILVER SPRING, MD (October 6, 2015) – Merchant Link, a leading provider of payment gateway and data security solutions, is pleased to announce that it has acquired substantially all of the assets of Precidia Technologies.
For over twenty-two years Merchant Link has been serving the hospitality and retail industries. Merchant Link has long been recognized as a leader in gateway service and innovative credit card security products including TransactionVault® [tokenization] and TransactionShield™ [point-to-point encryption]. To help its clients meet the EMV requirements for chip-based payment cards and related card acceptance devices, Merchant Link has introduced TransactionLink™ to its portfolio.
“Merchant Link continues to invest in its products, people and technology. We are pleased to leverage the relationship we have had with Precidia. Precidia Technologies, a Canadian based payments technology company, offers an impressive array of products that accelerate the integration of payments into cash register and integrated point of sale (iPOS) systems. The products have been designed to maximize the potential of existing equipment with simplified deployment, monitoring, security, and management tools,” shared Dan Lane, CEO Merchant Link.
Dan Lane added, “Blending the products that Merchant Link has with those from Precidia gives all of our merchants a simplified payments integration with a layered security approach for their credit card security, as well as flexibility in deployment and in support.”
“Being a predominantly technology development shop, it makes sense to take our Merchant Link partnership to the next level and join forces with their team. Working with Merchant Link over the last few years has given us a good idea of their customer base, how they handle service, and how we could come together to bring even more flexible solutions to market,” commented Deepak Wanner, President, Precidia.
Merchant Link and Precidia will continue delivering quality products, solutions and service. Over the next few months Merchant Link will work diligently with its merchants, partners, and vendors, to ensure a smooth transition into one company.
