NEW YORK, Oct. 4, 2016 — National real estate investor/developer Lightstone announced today the appointment of Lauren Levin as Senior Vice President, Moxy Hotels Brand and Marketing. Ms. Levin will be responsible for setting the strategic marketing direction and overseeing all marketing initiatives for Lightstone's portfolio of Moxy hotels, the newest boutique hotel concept from Marriott. Ms. Levin's role will include brand management, partnership marketing programs, digital marketing, public relations, and marketing communications. She will report to Lightstone President Mitchell Hochberg and divide her time between New York and Los Angeles.

Lightstone has partnered with Marriott to develop seven Moxy hotels in the United States. Four hotels – including the U.S. flagship – will be located in New York City, with one in Miami's South Beach, one in downtown Los Angeles and one in Hollywood.

Moxy is a fresh, bold, energetic lifestyle hotel with smartly designed and technologically advanced rooms coupled with amplified and energized socially activated public spaces. It's affordable with the soul of a boutique hotel; where affordability is not a sacrifice of style or comfort.

Prior to joining Lightstone, Ms. Levin was Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications at lifestyle hospitality management company sbe in Los Angeles. In this role, she oversaw all marketing and public relations across sbe's global portfolio of hotels, residences, restaurants and nightlife venues. Ms. Levin was integral in developing and executing a total rebrand and digital marketing overhaul at sbe, for which the company won 13 industry marketing awards. She was named to the "Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Hospitality Marketing, Sales and Revenue Management" list by Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International.

Before sbe, Ms. Levin was the Brand Director of Interactive Development at Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants. She also served as the Director of Online Marketing for Starwood Hotels and Resorts in Tel Aviv, developing and managing online marketing campaigns for the nine Sheraton hotels in Israel. Ms. Levin earned a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Business Administration, with a concentration in Sales and Marketing, from Cornell University.

"We created this position specifically to manage our entire Moxy brand across the U.S., and Lauren truly brings unmatched talent to this new role," said Lightstone President Mitchell Hochberg. "Lauren's extensive experience in global hospitality marketing will be a great strength for Lightstone as we continue to grow the Moxy's footprint, and we are delighted to have Lauren join our team."
