Tuscaloosa, Ala. (Oct. 11, 2016) – The Hotel Indigo Tuscaloosa Downtown hotel - an upscale riverfront boutique hotel, minutes from the experience and tradition of the University of Alabama, and only steps away from Tuscaloosa's vibrant entertainment district - has named Greg Hopton-Jones as Director of Sales of the 91-room hotel located at 111 Greensboro Avenue.
In his new role, Hopton-Jones will devote his skills to develop and implement goals, analyze sales patterns and guide the sales and marketing teams in the most effective positioning in order to optimize and maximize the hotel’s profitability.
Greg Hopton-Jones, Director of Sales, said: “It is a great honor to assume the role of director of sales for the Hotel Indigo Tuscaloosa Downtown hotel. I hope to take the guest experience to the next level with a true focus on ensuring each of our guests have a unique, engaging stay, and that they are excited to stay with us again next time they’re in the neighborhood.”
With nearly a decade of hospitality experience, Hopton-Jones most recently served as the group sales manager at Hilton Birmingham where he was directly responsible for top-line group revenue production and was recognized as a “Top Achiever” at the Interstate Annual Sales Conference in 2015.
Hopton-Jones began his hospitality career at Marriott International as an account executive where he was responsible for multiple government agencies and department travel across the state of Alabama. He was routinely recognized in Marriott’s Southeastern Regional newsletter for outstanding marketing success and recipient of Marriott’s Golden Circle Award.
