Hyatt Regency Austin Names Chris Howard as New Director of Sales and Marketing

Austin, Texas (October 26, 2016) – Hyatt Regency Austin, located on the shores of Lady Bird Lake in downtown Austin, has announced Chris Howard as its new director of sales and marketing. Howard joins the hotel from Hyatt Regency New Brunswick where he was the director of sales and marketing.
“We are very excited to welcome Chris Howard to Hyatt Regency Austin,” said Michael Murphy, general manager of Hyatt Regency Austin. “Chris has invaluable experience working with Hyatt properties throughout the country, and we know he will be a great addition to our team.”
As director of sales and marketing, Howard will oversee the hotel’s marketing and sales department. He will also manage and direct marketing efforts to drive business to the property and increase revenue.

Howard has worked with Hyatt Corporation for nearly 10 years. He began his career as a recruit to Hyatt’s Sales Corporate Management Training Program in Indian Wells, Calif. Following the program, he was hired on as a villas group sales manager at Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa. He has worked at several Hyatt properties throughout the country including Hyatt Regency Orange County, Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego, Hyatt at Olive 8 in Seattle, and Grand Hyatt Seattle.
Howard graduated from Boston University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Management.
