MCLEAN, Va. – October 28, 2016 – Hilton (NYSE: HLT) announced the appointment of Sharilyn Toko as general manager of the 572-room Condado Plaza Hilton in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Already on board in San Juan, Toko will oversee the operations and lead the management team at the renowned Puerto Rico hotel.

With nearly three decades of hospitality experience, Toko joins The Condado Plaza Hilton from the 984-room El Conquistador Resort & Las Casitas Village, A Waldorf Astoria Resort in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. She joined the team at El Conquistador Resort in 2000 and most recently acted as hotel manager since 2009. During her stretch as hotel manager of one of the island’s most famous properties, Toko directly oversaw the general operations of the 750 room El Conquistador Resort and Las Casitas Village.

Toko joined Hilton in 1989 at the Hilton Waikoloa Village, where she remained until 2000 overseeing the resort’s catering and convention services. She moved to the island of enchantment in 2000 to take on the role of director of meeting and conference services at El Conquistador Resort. Since then, she has held roles managing food and beverage operations, running the Golden Door Spa, and overseeing operations at Las Casitas Village and its 200 privately owned villas. Sharilyn studied Business Administration and Hawaiian Studies at the University of Hawai’i at Hilo.
