Heather Strauss Appointed General Manager of Embassy Suites by Hilton Deerfield Beach Resort & Spa

McLean, VA. — November 15, 2016Heather Strauss has been named general manager of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Deerfield Beach Resort & Spa, according to Ted R. Ratcliff, Senior Vice President, Operations, Eastern North America for Hilton Worldwide, effective immediately. Strauss will oversee the day to day operations of the 244-all suite and full service, beachfront resort located in the quaint beachfront community of Deerfield Beach. A AAA Four-Diamond rated hotel, Embassy Suites by Hilton Deerfield Beach is Resort & Spa offers guests a beachside community between Boca Raton and Ft. Lauderdale on Florida’s Gold Coast.

Prior to her move to Florida, Strauss was the general manager of Embassy Suites Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama where she also taught at Jefferson State Community College for three years. From April 2008 to December of 2009, Strauss was a principal at Strauss Hospitality, a hotel management and Acquisition company in Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey. She has held key executive management positions with primary focus in project planning, hotel openings and renovations. Strauss began her 26-year hospitality career in Parsippany, New Jersey, at the Front Office and quickly rose to management, holding general manager positions in Portland, Maine; Montrose, Colorado; Annapolis, Maryland and New Orleans, Louisiana.

She holds a master’s degree in International Management and a bachelor’s degree in Applied Technology with a focus on business and hotel and resort management.
