SHANGRI-LA, YUNNAN, China and MCLEAN, Va., July 6, 2017 -- Hilton (NYSE: HLT) and Hilton Garden Inn today announced the opening of Hilton Garden Inn Shangri-La, the first Hilton and third internationally-branded hotel in Shangri-La, Yunnan Province.

Located at Shangri-La's city center, the Tibetan-styled Hilton Garden Inn Shangri-La is within seven kilometers of Diqing Shangri-La Airport and two kilometers of Shangri-La Coach Station. It is also close to the 1,300-year-old Dekezong ancient town and the Gedan Songzanglin Monastery, often considered as the most important Tibetan Buddhist temple in Yunnan.

The 233 spacious guest rooms and suites at Hilton Garden Inn Shangri-La have comfortable bedding with hypoallergenic pillows, 43-inch HD TVs, as well as generous work surfaces and ergonomic chairs.
