GCommerce, a premiere digital marketing agency within the hospitality industry, announced a new Vice President of Business Development, Erik Dorr. He is responsible for strategic business planning and multi-function sales execution at the agency, which has earned a reputation as the leading digital marketing agency for the hospitality industry. “With his vast experience and knowledge of the hospitality industry, Erik will make a great addition to the GCommerce team” said Chris Jackson, President of GCommerce.

Dorr brings 19 years of experience working with some of the most successful hospitality technology companies in the world. At the beginning of his career, Erik spent seven years at Newmarket International in Portsmouth, NH where he served as the Technical Installations Manager. After moving to Arizona, Erik also served as the as Vice President of Sales for Interactive Sites and as the Vice President of Sales for the Western Region at Daylight Software.

Erik helped Kronos, Inc. expand into the Gaming and Casino Market as their National Sales Executive. Additionally, he served as Director of Gaming Sales for Newmarket International, where he helped to grow their market share with 93% of all casino hotels in Las Vegas. He also worked as the Director of Business Development for INFOR – Softbrands and as the Director of Sales for the West for iBAHN. Prior to starting with GCommerce, Erik was employed at Interactive Sites, where he managed business development.

In addition to his impressive employment history, Dorr co-founded a successful hospitality startup, EventSpark. As part owner and SVP of Sales, Dorr was able to secure over 190 new hospitality customers in less than one year of being live.

A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Dorr holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. He currently resides in the Scottsdale area, and serves on Arizona Chapter of the HSMAI (Hospitality Sales and Marketing International) Executive Board. In his spare time, Dorr enjoys volunteering for the “Kitchen on the Street” charity, turning hunger into hope for the children of Arizona.
