FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (SEPTEMBER 29, 2016) – Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa announced today that guests arriving to the property starting on September 29, 2016 will be able to indulge in one of the new guest rooms on property. The new refined beachfront experience features fully improved furnishings, fixtures, flooring and cool-toned décor including natural woods and textures with sea life-inspired artwork.

The renovation is designed to reposition the iconic property in the South Florida market by catering to a variety of leisure and corporate guests with a refreshing new guest room design. The newly reinvigorated lobby space boasts a fresh and sleek ambience along with a recently debuted artwork installation. Indoor greenery, ocean views, ample seating and neutral toned décor complement the new arrival experience.

Earlier this year, 3030 Ocean restaurant completed an extensive three-month renovation featuring an enhanced dining experience, fresh color palette, romantic lighting, modern artwork and tempered glass walls to revamp the upscale restaurant specializing in renowned seafood dishes.

“Following the current room renovation, guests arriving at Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach will enjoy newly elevated accommodations providing a more upscale beachfront experience. It was important for us to capture the spirit of the expansive beach our property is located on, while also offering guests additional modern amenities that will inspire them,” says General Manager Karen Chastain.

The inspiration scheme, spearheaded by Miami-based EoA Inc., emerged from the New River in South Florida, which according to a legend by the Seminole Indian Tribe of Florida was an underground river that appeared after a night of strong winds. The river originates in the Everglades and flows east, passing through Fort Lauderdale and then entering the Atlantic Ocean. The design inspiration is based on the movement of the river leading towards the ocean, which is captured in the undulating detailing of the headboards in the guest rooms.

The new accommodations boast neutral linen fabrics, accents and textures that are complemented by striated carpets that mimic sunrises and reflections over the waves and sand, as well as sand-colored lounge chairs, nightstands, ottomans, lamps, sleeper chairs, and new balcony furniture.

Modern and spacious desk spaces are accented with a quartz finish to accommodate travelers’ needs and tranquil artwork illustrating sea life hangs above the cozy beds. The bathroom design incorporates thoughtful details such as innovative sliding doors to maximize space, low shower bar, a shower head that is placed on the wall opposite of the handles, and a selection of other modern amenities.

With 650 guest rooms and 11 room types, from Intracoastal Waterway views to an oceanfront Presidential Suite, the resort’s accommodations cater to all travelers. To stay up to date on the latest news and happenings, please visit www.harborbeachmarriott.com or please call (954) 525-4000.
