Flip.to Lands Hospitality Maverick to Lead European Sales

Orlando — October 31, 2013 — Flip.to, the brand advocate platform that helps hotels turn their guests into advocates, recently hired well-known hospitality sales executive, Alfredo Moreno de la Santa, to lead their European sales efforts.
Moreno de la Santa has extensive knowledge of the European market. In his prior role, he helped establish EZ Yield as one of the premier channel management platforms in Europe. He led the sales efforts in Southern Europe and was instrumental in expanding their customer base.
“The first time I saw Flip.to I was amazed at its simplicity. It uses the natural inclination of a hotels’ customers to be social,” said Moreno de la Santa. “Then, it takes that inclination and drives the family and friends of the guests back to the hotels website and drives bookings in a uniquely personal way. It is the first time I have seen a social product actually drive revenue.”
Consumers generally trust the opinion of their friends, relatives and colleagues far more than traditional advertisements. Flip.to taps into that sentiment, transforming hotel guests into a huge, trusted marketing force. Each guest has well over 150 social connections on average, leading to brand advocates that have a long reach, make strong brand connections and in turn, generate a measurable uptick in booked room nights that Flip.to tracks.
“Alfredo brings a wealth of experience to the Flip.to global sales expansion plan”, said Kristi White, Vice President, Global Sales Strategy for Flip.to, “His knowledge of the European marketplace will help us broaden our footprint. He has helped build brands in new markets in the past and we are excited that he is going to help us as we grow our brand.”
