RAR implemented Flip.to at three properties in San Diego, each with a very distinct atmosphere. The guest engagement and direct bookings has so exceeded their expectations they plan to add Flip.to at other properties as well.
Flip.to turns guests into a huge extension of a hotel's marketing force. Starting right at the point of booking, guests share with their friends and family about their upcoming trip to the Lafayette Hotel, Pantai Inn, or El Cordova Hotel. This exposure to a huge pool of people in a friendly and trusted way is just the start of the marketing funnel. The historic Lafayette Hotel was built in 1946 as a luxury hideaway for Hollywood stars, with a swimming pool designed by Tarzan star Johnny Weismuller. Since their Flip.to campaign began in December 2013, guests have shared the news of their stay with more than 35K friends and family.
The Pantai Inn, a 32-room La Jolla beachfront boutique hotel, surrounds guests with Balinese décor and Polynesian serenity. In just 3 months this small hotel has seen 22.8% guest engagement as they share their excitement with friends and family.
The small, 43-room Spanish-flavored El Cordova Hotel sits in the heart of Coronado Island in San Diego, near beaches, shopping and dining. In only two months the El Cordova has already seen 32 directly booked rooms from guest engagement.
