First Kempinski Hotels Property in the Middle East to Implement Infor EzRMS

NEW YORKJune 19, 2015 – Infor, the industry cloud company, today announced that Emirates Palace has successfully implemented Infor EzRMS in the cloud to enable a more integrated approach to revenue management. A luxury, five-star hotel in Abu Dhabi, Emirates Palace is the first Kempinski Hotels property in the Middle East to become fully operational with Infor’s hospitality-specific revenue management application as part of the global agreement signed by the international hotelier. Utilizing Infor EzRMS, Emirates Palace benefits from the ability to analyze comprehensive data from all revenue streams within the hotel in real-time, which helps the organization optimize revenue by creating a property-specific set of recommendations that promote a more accurate balance between demand and supply.

“Operating in a dynamic market such as Abu Dhabi with ever-increasing expectations from guests has made it critical for our hotel to have a reliable set of selling strategies in place, however, this is challenging when there is a lack of visibility across sources of revenue,” said Ashish Narang, Director of Revenue Management and Reservations, Emirates Palace. “Infor EzRMS has fulfilled our need for a flexible, holistic revenue management application that delivers industry-specific capabilities to suit the unique nature of our business. Using Infor EzRMS as a cloud application will also break down information siloes at the corporate level by unifying revenue data in one system, so Kempinski decision-makers can analyze results from multiple properties such as ours simultaneously.”

Infor EzRMS integrates with the existing property management system at Emirates Palace using Infor ION®, a flexible middleware platform, which allows the application to act as a single resource for reporting and analysis without the need to manually consolidate information. The application automatically considers all influential factors such as room type and guests’ ancillary spending, which enables a higher level of forecast accuracy and more targeted recommendations regarding room rates.

Infor EzRMS produces daily updates to ensure that necessary stakeholders are up-to-speed on changes that may impact pricing, promoting enhanced decision-making across the organization because managers are better equipped to identify the most profitable course of action. The application also recommends selling strategies, allowing sales and marketing employees to create customized reports that promote a stronger revenue management-focused approach to business development.

“For large hospitality organizations like Kempinski Hotels, creating an integrated approach to revenue management that spans multiple properties and countries can pose significant difficulty without the right technology in place,” said Stewart Applbaum, senior vice president and general manager, Infor Hospitality. “Infor EzRMS will not only help Emirates Palace to increase revenue, but Kempinski’s corporate office will also benefit from the ability to generate revenue forecasts by region as more locations implement the application. This will allow more detailed reporting and analysis to help optimize revenue management enterprise-wide.”
