Orlando, Florida, July 2014 - The Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association (NHLA) has become the second state hospitality association to earn the designation of Certified Guest Service Partner from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (EI).  

To earn the designation, the partner state association's staff had to complete EI's Guest Service Gold® training program and then successfully pass the Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP®) exam.

"The success of our industry is dependent on our hundreds of thousands of hospitality employees providing exemplary guest service. The Certified Guest Service Professional program reiterates that importance and provides the training necessary to be the best in the business.  NHLA is honored to be the second state to achieve this Certified Guest Service Partner designation," said Diane Gandy, CGSP, vice president of organizational development for the NHLA. 

Founded in 1979, the NHLA is the voice of the hospitality industry in Nevada. The association has more than 200 hotels and industry-focused vendors in its membership. The association is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada.
