DALLAS (Aug. 29, 2016) – DHISCO Inc., the world’s leading hospitality distribution company, today announced its expansion into the alternative lodging market through a partnership with RentalsCombined.net, a business-to-business marketplace that offers suppliers a new platform for marketing business and vacation rentals to travel agencies.

Based in London, RentalsCombined.net has an inventory of more than 600,000 professionally managed properties worldwide accessed by a network of more than 100,000 travel advisors around the globe.

By implementing the DHISCO Switch, RentalsCombined.net will offer new suppliers, as well as traditional hotel companies, the opportunity to list real-time rates and inventory for serviced apartments and other business and vacation rentals.

Nico Nicholas, CEO of RentalsCombined.net, said partnering with DHISCO is a logical next step for the company, which was formed to offer travel agents a way to compete in the sharing economy with short-term rental booking sites.

“DHISCO is the global leader in hospitality distribution, offering stable, fast connections to the real-time information and the booking capabilities agents need to tap into this fast-growing marketplace,” Nicholas said.

DHISCO CEO Toni Portmann said the partnership resulted, in part, from the company’s effort to continue to expand its global distribution network into the fast-growing marketplace for alternative lodging.

“One of our top priorities here at DHISCO is to meet the continually evolving demands of both travel sellers and buyers around the globe,” Portmann said. “Alternative lodging is an area where we believe we can help both traditional hotel partners and new suppliers connect and tap into new markets. RentalsCombined.net is a well-established business that works with some of the world’s leading travel agencies. We look forward to helping them expand their reach while offering both new and established hospitality companies a new platform for commerce.”
