November 25, 2014 – Bulgari Hotels and Resorts today announced its newest project, located in Beijing in the heart of the Chinese capital’s exclusive Embassy District. Scheduled to open in early 2017, the Bulgari Hotel Beijing will be the luxury hospitality brand’s fifth property in the world following the opening of Milan, Bali, London, Shanghai (opening in 2016), and coming before Dubai (to open in 2018).

The 120 rooms and suites Bulgari Hotel Beijing will be an intimate haven of luxury, with the aim of becoming a true urban resort. Located within the new Genesis Beijing project, developed in harmony with the environment and appreciative of nature and art, the hotel will be flanked by two Office towers, and by a contemporary art museum.

Set against a lively urban landscape and directly facing the Liangma River, the Bulgari Hotel Beijing is conceived as a link between the discerning traveller in search of nature and art, and the sophisticated elite of Beijing.

The new hotel will feature not just some of the city’s largest guestrooms, but also the Bulgari signature Bar and Ristorante set facing a private park bordering the river side, a large Spa with a 25mt long pool, and a spacious ballroom. The Hotel Building and interiors will be designed by Italian architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners in the contemporary Italian style which characterizes all the Bulgari Hotels and Resorts.

The hotel will be located adjacent to the Second Embassy District and near the trendy dining and fashion quarter of Sanlitun. Just twenty minutes away by car from the Beijing Capital International Airport, the Ping’an International Finance Center and the East Second Ring Road office zone, the hotel’s international atmosphere is heightened by its proximity to the 798 Art Zone, an avant-garde artistic community of galleries and museums housed in a decommissioned military factory; and Chaoyang Park, Beijing’s largest recreational park.

Bulgari’s CEO Jean-Christophe Babin, present in Beijing for this new milestone, said: “We are delighted to have secured such a special location in the capital city of China, and within such a visionary project. The combination of the natural landscape with the artistic content will make this development a new benchmark for enlightened luxury living in the future.”
