GREENBELT, Md., March 15, 2018 – Chesapeake Hospitality, a dynamic third-party hotel management company, announced today it has promoted Mark Williams to regional vice president of operations. Kim Sims, president of Chesapeake Hospitality, made the announcement.

With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Williams joined Chesapeake Hospitality in 2011 as general manager at its Hilton Philadelphia Airport hotel. Most recently, he served as the general manager at the company’s Georgian Terrace Hotel, where his prudent approach immediately impacted the hotel’s market value by improving service and efficiencies, raising the Trip Advisor ranking from #69 to #18 within 3 years.

As regional vice president of operations, Williams will oversee a hotel portfolio consisting of upper upscale and luxury hotels.

Williams is active on a number of boards, including the Melbourne Beach Hospitality Association, the Melbourne Regional CVB, the FRLA Space Coast Chapter, the Cleveland CVB, the Cleveland CVB Business Development Committee, the Greater Philadelphia Hotel Association (GPHA), the GPHA Airport Hotel Committee, Atlanta CVB Hotel Council and the Atlanta Midtown Alliance Hotel Council.
