Aug. 18–Hyatt The Loop Chicago is slated to open in February in a converted vintage office building at 100 W. Monroe, the project’s developer and the hotel operator said Monday.

The 257-room hotel overlooking Chase Plaza will include a French restaurant and bar, rooftop lounge and about 2,500 square feet of meeting space.

Originally built in the 1920s, the 22-story building is being renovated by Integrated Clark Monroe, a venture led by the developer John Murphy.

It will be the fifth Hyatt-branded hotel in downtown Chicago.
